The Pavilion Secret Tunnel
Secret tunnels may sound a little odd to some, but for others, it’s an opportunity to experience something unique. A century-old forgotten tunnel belongs to Britain’s Prince Regent George IV.
The tunnel was thought to be a secret passage from the Pavilion to the Prince’s former stables in what is now the Dome concert arena. The Prince grew overweight that he preferred to go alone. A 45-minute excursion underground will give you a new perspective of the city.
LGBTQ+ Walk Tour
Brighton, the UK’s LGBTQ+ capital, has rainbow flags flying freely. A walking tour with a local expert is a wonderful place to start if you’ve ever wondered how Brighton came to be. Undercliff Path
This walk runs beneath the chalk cliffs that flank the coast east of Brighton, toward Eastbourne, just beyond the Marina. The ride from Palace Pier to Saltdean takes about 30 minutes by bicycle. Using a city-wide BTN BikeShare program in Brighton is simple and inexpensive.
Stanmer Park
This lovely park sits on the outskirts of town. It’s a wide-open countryside excellent for relaxing and enjoying the daylight. It is home to many owls, buzzards, and kestrels. It was built in 1838 and is open every Sunday. So, if you like historic buildings and history, pay a visit to Stanmer Park before you go.

This funky Regency Square pad has mirrored ceilings, screaming pink walls, and ultra-kitsch furnishings. What’s that? No way. The Peli offers an “intimacy aids” menu. The 19-themed rooms are a tongue-in-cheek dream. Pick the leopard-print Bettie’s Boudoir for some 1950s pin-up elegance. Want to dress up? Lord Vader’s Quarters has lightsabers, while DollyWould has stetsons. With a karaoke bar and live music in the basement, it’s a wonder if anyone sleeps.

Blanch House, Kemptown
Blanch House, one of the earliest boutique hotels, is great for romantics: expect velvet and satin fabrics, art deco furnishings, and deep Victorian roll-top baths.

Marine Tavern
Marine Tavern is a charming British pub in the centre of Brighton. Two typical Sunday roasts for £10 and tasty burgers with crunchy chips. Marine Tavern is a great place to have delicious pub meals.
This location is easily accessible by any method of transport. The kind staff works hard to create a pleasant atmosphere. This establishment’s service is superb. Prices are said to be reasonable. A lunch should cost between £3 and £10. No doubt, you’ll be charmed by the lovely ambience!
Manju’s
Manju’s is the place to go for curry cravings. This famous Brighton Indian restaurant serves curries, thalis, and chaat. Being from South-East Asia myself, I was always disappointed that the best dishes never made it to the UK.
We like that Manju serves Asian favourites like Pani Puri and thalis. Manju’s is known for its delicious meals and wonderfully blended cocktails!

Brighton’s hottest and most delightful dining experience is nestled right on the Lanes. It’s a modest, private, and confident vibe. The chefs know they’re offering you the best, and the high demand from diners (we highly recommend booking ahead) proves that.
What’s the big deal? ‘Innovative, eclectic small-plate dining in a sleek, industrial-style environment with an open kitchen’, says 64 Degrees. That night I had venison tartare with coffee and linseeds, shrimp tacos, and shiitake dumplings with pickles. Divine!

What are you in the mood for? Take a trip to London Road and check out Sunbirds Deli. Locals flock to this Mediterranean deli for its mouthwatering brunches, mezze dishes, and sandwiches. Because the cuisine is made-to-order, the prices are exceptionally low.
thewitchez photo design cafe bar
One of the most interesting restaurants in Brighton (or arguably, perhaps even in the country), ThewitchEZ Photo Design Cafe Bar blends artistic designs and photography with excellent food. The owners, who are web and graphic designers, established this first-ever 1st Photo Design Cafe Restaurant in the UK.
The overall ambience and design of the place are just as magical as their concept and food. The cosy spot is covered with photographs – you’ll find even the ceilings covered with these photos – books and other witchy objects. The homemade dishes are absolutely delectable, with the Lamb Steak and their “Little Hooves” (potato dumplings) as favourites of many. Besides the ambience and food, there are high praises for the staff and Mr Shadow, the adorable dog who’s part of the team. But, it doesn’t even stop there! The owners also offer photography services. Where else can you find a place like this?
burnt orange
If you’re looking for a place to unwind and settle in while having good food, Burnt Orange is the place to be. In this contemporary restaurant, customers will find wood-fired dishes and high-quality drinks. So whether you want to grab a bite for lunch or lounge around with friends for dinner and drinks, you’ll have a great time in this restaurant.
Burnt Orange offers a variety of dishes that you can order individually, such as the well-loved Smoked Miso Aubergine and tasty Wood-Fired Flat Bread. They also serve vegan and gluten-free options. If you can’t decide what dish to order, you can also try out the “Burnt Orange Experience” to have different dishes picked by the restaurant itself be laid out for you and a friend (the food needs to be shared by a minimum of 2 guests).
the salt room
The Salt Room, the sister company of The Burnt Orange, offers you a taste of fantastic seafood and steak with a view of Brighton’s picturesque seafront. In the summer, it’s best to dine on the restaurant’s terrace that overlooks the beach and the West Pier to take in the view as you can enjoy quality dishes like the Barbecued Cornish Monkfish or share the Surfboard.
The restaurant boasts of serving fresh seafood, shellfish, and meat, grilled over charcoal to establish an excellent dining experience for guests. They also pride themselves on using locally sourced produce for an imaginative menu that also applies to their drinks, earning them the title of the Seafood Restaurant of the Year in 2017.

The Flint House is another place where you can dine at the counter with an open kitchen. Part of chef Ben McKellar’s Gingerman Restaurant Group, enjoy small-plate dishes like the well-loved Sweetcorn Fritters and Fried Jerusalem Artichokes or choose the Chef’s menu – you won’t be disappointed either way.
The restaurant has an upstairs cocktail bar, which has a wide selection of drinks, and a terrace that guests visit as they wait to eat in the cosy interior downstairs or just to have a relaxing time. Service is known to be exceptional too. With a fabulous lively place, friendly and prompt staff, and flavorful food and drinks, it’s no wonder why some reviewers have said they had the “best dining experience” in The Flint House.

Lastly, we have a restaurant by Masterchef: The Professionals champion Steven Edwards. In this modern-looking restaurant, guests can choose between menus of 5, 7 or 9 courses. The food, while pricey, is incredible and worth the value (just ask other guests from Tripadvisor!). Not only that, but the menu changes weekly, depending on seasons and produce that are available to the restaurant – aligned with the restaurant’s philosophy “to celebrate local and British produce using weekly-changing tasting menus.”
With such a focus on quality and freshness, the intricacies of each dish, some of which are the dippy egg and lobster|pea, in the tasting menus certainly make the restaurant worth visiting. All the dishes don’t miss that it’s difficult to identify a definitive favourite. Not to mention that the service is excellent, and the chef could extensively explain details about the food you’re feasting on.
