About our free collection and storage service
Our free collection and storage service makes moving into self storage easy and stress-free. One of our team members will come to your home or workplace, help load your belongings, and transport them to our nearest storage facility—all free of charge! It’s a convenient way to start using your storage space without the hassle of hiring a van or driving to our facility yourself.
To take advantage of the free storage collection, you’ll need to prepay for at least three months. The service is available for storage rooms ranging from 15 sq ft to 250 sq ft. However, we don’t currently offer collection for our lockers (10 or 15 sq ft, half-height units).
Please note that our full terms and conditions vary depending on whether you choose self storage or click+store, but we’ve highlighted some key points below.
1. Booking the Collection
Once you’ve decided to use our free storage collection service, simply contact us to arrange a date and time for your collection. Our team will confirm the details and ensure your items are ready for the pick-up.
2. Loading the goods
On the day of collection, one of our uniformed staff will come to your home or workplace to load your belongings into our van. If your storage space is under 50 sq ft, we’ll need you to provide one pair of hands to help load the van. This could be you or a friend, as long as you’re comfortable lifting.
For collections between 50-90 sq ft, you’ll need to arrange an additional helper. For 100 sq ft or more, two extra helpers are required. If your helpers aren’t available, we can provide additional hands—just contact us for a quote. Working as a team helps make the process quick and efficient.
3. Transporting Your Items
Once your goods are loaded, we’ll transport them to the nearest Henfield Storage facility. For the click+store service, you don’t need to come to the store—we handle everything from here.
4. Unloading and Storing
For the self storage option, you and your extra helpers will need to meet us at the storage facility to help unload your belongings and store them securely in your unit. We’ll assist with the unpacking to make sure everything is stored safely. You can then place your own padlock on the unit, finalize the paperwork, and complete the storage contract.

While you can access your stored goods seven days a week, our free collection service operates Monday to Friday. We’re open on most bank holidays, except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, and Easter Sunday. However, please note that we do not offer collections on bank holidays.
